Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
